How to Mix & Match Bridesmaid Dresses
Today’s post is all about how to mix and match the dusy blue and underlying blue/grey tone bridesmaid’s dresses. For each photo included, please click the image to be taken directly to the website.
I see the appeal of same cut and color bridesmaids dresses, but for my wedding I wanted to go the mix & match route. I personally think the mix & match looks more sophisticated, and definitely keeps it fun. It also allows bridesmaids of all body types to get a dress they feel comfortbale in.
There are different routes you can take for mix and match. You can do same cut/style with different colors, same colors with different cuts/styles, or all different cuts/colors/styles mixed together (that’s what I did). Today I am sharing one of my favorite color palettes, dusty blues (although I did not use this for my own wedding, but wished I did!) I am also sharing some of my personal picks for bridesmaids dresses in this palette :)
Color palette - Dusty Blues, Greys, and Navy
So the trick to this palette is making sure all your colors maintain the same tone. Here we have an overall underlying color of blue, in the grey shades, and obviously the blues ;). This color is perfect for any season, it could look great with a snowy winter backdrop, blend in perfectly with the blues of a summer beach wedding, they are the perfect muted colors for fall, or perfect spring floral matching colors. Below are some of my top picks for this mix and match scheme!
I hope you guys enjoyed today’s post! If you did please leave a comment and I will do more color palette posts in the future. Let me know what palettes you want to see!
Until next time xoxo,
